Membership committee

This committee oversees the membership drive to recruit PTSA members. The committee sells Teacher/ Staff, Parent/ Guardian, and Student memberships and advertises membership sales online.

spirit wear committee

This committee oversees the ordering, inventory, and sale of Spirit Wear, both online and in person at school events. Volunteers set up/ break down and handle cash and deposits for sales.

staff appreciation committee

This committee oversees appreciation events and purchasing of gifts for the nurse, public safety officer, counselors, custodians, social worker, and bus drivers. In addition, this committee schedules and coordinates monthly appreciation events sponsored by neighborhoods and community organizations.

scholarship committee

This committee is responsible for overseeing the entire application and awarding process of the ECMS annual scholarship ($500) to a Wheeler student who matriculated at ECMS.

nominating committee

This committee is responsible for recruiting and identifying candidates for the next school year’s Executive Committee.  Details about the Nominating Committee are included in the Bylaws and the Council provides additional information.

marketing / website committee

Creates the monthly newsletter to be sent to members, and responsible for updating the ECMS website. This committee supports by designing collateral to help promote PTSA-led events. This committee may also serve as admin for Google Workspace, adding/ deleting email addresses, resetting passwords, etc.
